Final Seals
Final seals improve the corrosion resistance and adhesion of the conversion coated metal surfaces that are subsequently coated with conventional, electrocoat and powder coatings.
Gardolene D 6800/6 is a liquid, acidic, chrome-free, reactive final seal for iron phosphate and zinc phosphate conversion coatings, applied by spray or immersion. Gardolene D 6800/6 improves the corrosion resistance and adhesion of the conversion coated metal surfaces that are subsequently coated with conventional, electrocoat and powder coatings. A final DI (deionized) or good quality RO (reverse osmosis) water rinse is used after Gardolene D 6800/6.
Gardolene D 6811 is a dried-in-place passivation for use on galvanized, galvanneal, and other zinc alloy steels. It is free of Hexavalent Chromium and fluoride. This Trivalent Chromium passivation is in compliance with the European RoHS directive. This product is IBM approved for HDG.
Gardolene D 6871 is a non-chrome final rinse for conversion coated metal surfaces. Gardolene D 6871 is added to the last water rinse of the pretreatment process. Gardolene D 6871 reacts with the conversion coated metal surface to enhance paint adhesion and corrosion resistance. Apply Gardolene D 6871 by either spray or immersion.
Gardolene D 6907 is a patented, non-chrome final seal for phosphate conversion coating processes. It is used on pretreated steel, iron, aluminum, zinc and their alloys. Gardolene D 6907 reacts with the phosphated metal surfaces to enhance paint adhesion and corrosion resistance properties. It is compatible with most liquid, powder and electrocoat paints.
