Chemetall to present on Optimizing Aqueous Cleaning Washers and Subsequent Rust Protection at PMTS/PCx
Chemetall, a leading global surface treatment supplier and a global business unit of BASF's Coatings division, was selected to present as part of the Educational Sessions of the
Parts Cleaning Exhibition to be held April 25 to 27 at the Greater Columbus Exhibition Center in Columbus, OH. David Gotoff, Product Manager for the North America region, will
highlight his 30 years of surface finishing experience when presenting on optimizing aqueous washer programs to achieve consistent and value added cleaning and corrosion protection.
The Precision Machine Technology Show (PMTS), along with the Parts Cleaning Exhibition (PCx) is presented by the Precision Machined Products Association, and co-presented by
Production Machining, Products Finishing, and Modern Machine Shop. PMTS is the only show in North America dedicated to the Precision Machining industry.
Sustainability for Aqueous Cleaning Programs
"PMTS does a great job of integrating not only precision machining but also cleaning solutions, with the addition of PCx" notes Mr. Gotoff.
"When the manufacturer is able to align the aqueous washing system directly with the metalworking process, addressing the specific soils in
use and customizing the solutions with a Total Program Management program, significant financial gains may result". Developing process control,
including automation, maintenance and monitoring assures consistency not only in cleanliness, but also in the ability to preserve the parts from corrosion.
Key points of system design, product selection, control technology, water chemistry, and best practices that can be applied for continuous
improvement will be covered in the session. Elements of both cleaning and rust prevention will be included.
